Checking the availability of a portlet
Check to see if a portlet is available so that you can add it to a page. This option appears only for remote portlets.
Perform the following steps to check the availability of a portlet:

Click Check availability.

You will see one of these status messages:
- The portlet is available. The portlet can be added to a page.
- The portlet is not known by the producer. The handle of this portlet is not valid for the Producer. The Producer have been deleted from this portlet.
