Configuring the Foundry Messaging Demo Application using Foundry Messaging Console

This section explains about how to configure the demo application using the Foundry Messaging console.

  1. In a browser, enter the manage.kon__y.com URL in browser.

    The Foundry Messaging Console log-in screen appears.

  2. Enter your email and the password in the respective fields .Click Sign in to enter your cloud account.

  3. From the Notifications section, click Application from the left panel.The Applications screen appears with all the configured applications in the grid view.

  4. Click the + Add New App button next to Reports. The Application Name, Application ID and the App Category are the required attributes.

    Important: The Application Name, Application ID and the App Category need to be the same as used in the application that is installed on the device.

    App Category: Others

  5. Click Next Step twice to display the Android screen. Enter the GCM Authorization Key needed to install and run the demo application on Android devices as shown below:

  6. Click Next Stept twice under the Add Application section. Click Add App to add the application in the console.

  7. Now, the application is added in to the console. Click the Application Status and select the status as Published from the drop down menu to publish the application.This action publishes the app and make it available to send notifications.
