Events

Engagement services enable you to send event messages through any of the four channels to users. The channels are push notification (native and web), email, SMS, and pass. When an event is added and published successfully, you need to call the event through Event APIs to deliver event messages through configured channels.

To understand events, let us assume that a bank wants to inform its customers about the due date for credit card payments. The bank admin creates a name-value pair, such as first name and last name, for all customers who possess a credit card. Next, the admin sends an event message through a channel (push notification, or email, or SMS) to all bank customers.

Note: For more details about Event APIs,
refer to, Event APIs in the Engagement Services API Programming Guide.
